forgot to mention that an EGEE overall operations meeting is scheduled
all Mondays at 14h00. I have not received yet any announcement or
agenda.

Irma and Dani are attending a meeting in Santiago.

Pepe and Farida are attending the ATLAS Software Week at CERN.

CESGA (Javi Fontan):

Creating the EGEE site using infrastructure from the USC-LCG2 site.
All services will be located initially in one machine.
- New
recruitment expected in October.

LIP (Jorge Gomes):

Small production cluster in EGEE (4 cpus)

Bringing up a preproduction cluster

Deploying Quattor as installation tool.

Testing use of virtual machines

Testing use of Scientific Linux in the worker nodes

Deploying a new certification authority site using OpenCA

Preparing the support to other Portuguese universities to join EGEE

Mario is leading the user support service

Organizing the Grid Open Day in Lisbon on Oct 21st as Crossgrid
Activity. EGEE will be represented by Fabrizio Gagliardi or other
top management representative. See the web page of the Crossgrid
Integration meeting (link).

INTA (Kai Neufer):

Reported last week.

Waiting 8 new CPUs to be added as worker nodes. The 3 current worker
nodes are old computers and will be removed.

Preparing site certification with Gonzalo.

PIC (Andreu Pacheco)

Announcing 208 CPUs to the grid corresponding to 104 real boxes.
- Now
servicing mainly the ATLAS Data Challenge.

Preparing for LHCb and CMS virtual organization service challenges.

Gonzalo Merino and Carlos Borrego have setup a generic service for
site certification (egee.swe.certification@pic.org.es).
They also service the PIC-LCG2 contact address (lcg.support@pic.ifae.es)

Mari Paz de Andres in charge of the PIC central operations service (pic-oper@pic.org.es)

Paco Martínez in charge of the storage service using the Storategek
silo. Using Castor, a CERN developed product, see
web. Currently servicing 100 TB of storage (500 tapes), maximum
1.2 PUB (6000 tapes).
